Gaining Momentum

Out in this Valley, when it rains, it pou-...well it doesn't actually rain now and there aren't too many words for snow. So we'll just say this: out here, when it snows, it really snows. That's not hyperbole. Since we're tutors, we understand expressive language and as our new referrals and valued customers have begun to sign on, well they've really begun to sign on. This is a good sign (sign, sing--homonyms, see, we do this for a living) because it probably means we're doing something right. Of course, it could just be a statistical anomaly, we still need more data points before we can rule that out entirely.

Here's the news: Our second client, Andreas Calabrese, also a Junior Olympic skiier joined the 3GG ranks. One thing is for sure. Our company might not be the biggest or have the most what's that stuff, oh yeah, money--but our kids could beat your kids in a ski race any day--go ahead, try us. Also excitingly (is that a word, well it is now), the 3gg music center had its debut virtual opening--check out the link about five inches to the right or click here. The music center is Kumar's baby. He is a phenomenal pianist who likes to act possessed by the nymphs of harmony when he plays--it's a writhing and sonorous treat. He's excited (so we're excited) about a partnership with the Eagle-Vail elementary school's music program. They play their final concert at the Vilar Center for the Arts up at Beaver Creek. All will go great assuming Kums (that's his nickname) takes of his ski instructor boots before trying the dampener pedal. More's in the works--a teaching partnership with Edwards cello instructor Ken Carpenter, two more prospective tutees and some SAT work. Yeah, we do that too. Don't forget to hit the hills before they freeze over, and hit the apres before you do.

Fresh Tracks

Well, Vail mountain officially opened last friday. Rumor has it the skiing was the best it had been on an opening day in 10 years. Unfortunately we were working. By Sunday, when the three of us hit the slopes, the tracks were far from fresh and dissapointly similar to the hard stuff back home. Oh well, we'll have to wait until the Big Guy drops a few feet on us one morning. In company news (good company, we like to think) we are very excited about one of our first clients. We first met his sister on the cover of Vail Magazine. Well, we didn't meet her, but everyone out here 'knows' two time Olympican skiier Sarah Schleper. And now we know her brother, Hunter. At 14, and one of the most promising teens on the U.S. Junior Squad, we were understandably stoked for the opportunity to work with him. So that's an idea for anyone with an aspiring athelete in their family. We are flexible, great at organizing schedules, happy (and patient enough) to work on balancing the demands of school with sport. Hope to see you--or not see you--in the powder.

Opening Day

As the snow begins to build into a thick layer of anticipated joy, 3 Good Guys Services is vamping up to make your trip to incredible Beaver Creek that much better. We are looking to do whatever we can to help...whether that means entertaining your kids or tutoring them in their tough subjects, working on over-break reports or assignments, running errands, providing dining or musical accompaniment at your next event. Whatever your desire, we aim to please.
